this is driving me crazy.

i have a HB CP (not the pro) that i picked up 2nd hand at a swapmeet. and, i cannot get the thing stable. when i get the headspeed up at all it develops a crazy wobble that will knock the bird off its skids if i dont slow it down.

nothing exotic on the setup--it has the purple anodized head, flat bottom woodies that i've repeatedly balanced (both individually for CG, and together for mass/balance), it came with a carbon fiber flybar (is that stock???) with lightened paddles covered with shrinkwrap, it has a dual motor brushed tail, 370 brushed main on the stock hummingboard, 3x HS-55s, the 7-cell birdseed battery & a JR R770 PCM Rx.

so far, i've replaced the main shaft, all linkages, bearings, swapped out the entire seesaw assembly from a parts machine. the blades track ok at low RPM (can't tell at high RPM, the whole thing is shaking too bad), i've verified all the ball links are nice and loose, but not sloppy.

i'm stumped. i've never had a HB. does this thing have some notorious fix that i am missing? i'm very tempted to order the 3D Pro kit and scrap this little guy.

tighten the hell out of the blades. :D

are you serious?

i was under the impression that i was to tighten them just tight enough to bind; and that the centripetal force of the blade straightened them out.

fixed pitch right? if so, tighten until they will not move without effort. This should cure your wobble.

Make sure flybar is centered and paddles and set right.
