hi all
just did my first auto today.... not planned though...
been doing practice auto's for while now, and did one from fairly high, at about 30ft of the deck i put power back, and of course the soft start kicked in... no power!!
luckely was very soft meeting with mother earth. only broke landing skid...
Do you guys practice auto's with the soft start function enable? or should i not do auto's from so high up ? any suggestions welcome
thanks

One solution is to set your throttle hold high enough to just turn the blades, that way soft-start won't kick in.

for me this not really option... love the safetey factor of having throttle hold on -5 when powering up the heli.
anyone knows if you can do a mix on the DX7 that will give you more throttle in ST1 mode when hitting throttle hold? and give me the possitive throttle ?

One of the 3 mixes (mix 3 if I recall correctly) can be activated on Throttle hold and you can use it to add throttle. The problem with your solution is that the Throttle Hold switch would be the thing to turn it on and off, so .... how do you tell the radio when it should be active.
You're doing it backwards. Do what I said, make throttle hold spin the blades, then make a switch activated Throttle -> Throttle mix that takes the throttle to 0, this will be your "kill switch".

No prob. I think Mix 3 is probably the one you want to use. I haven't tried to program this yet on a DX7 myself. Finless mentioned something about using Mix 3 due to switch availability IIRC. Try something like setting hold to +5 and make the mix Throttle->Throttle -5.
