Raptor se glow plug issue

My raptor won't stay running with out the glow ignitor attached. I checked the plug and it seem to be working fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

There are a couple things that can be going on here. First is your air/fuel mixture, it may be to rich. The other is you may not have enough compression. Remove your starter wand from the starter and try spinning the engine by hand. You should feel 2 spots per revolution that is hard to turn, one harder than the other, and you should have to bare down to get past the harder one. If you still feel these spots but it is still relatively easy to get past you need to:

A. Check your head bolts are still tight

B. Replace the piston ring, if any scaring on the cylinder sleeve replace it also (start over on breaking in the engine if either part is replaced)

Last thing to check, is the carb tight on the engine. The screw that clamps the engine to the carb I have lost before in flight.

Finally, are you using an air filter? If it is saturated with fuel it will be vary difficult to set the air/fuel mixture.

One more thing. If you used any type of silicone gasket seal on your muffler.
It is possible that a small fleck has reached your glow plug. It will most certainley
prevent your plug from performing properly.

Easy test is try another plug. if that dont fix it its not the plug. Oh and dont pull my common mistake and forget to open the fuel cut off clip. :arggg:

You might have the wrong plug installed. What fuel and what plug are you using?

I'm using A os#8. I have a extra but can't find it so when i do i'll try it out.

Raven i feel your pain i forget to open it more often then not.
