Hi all

Would it be possible to run the T-rex 450 (wooden) blades on the HBK2?

The reason for my question is, that when I was planning to buy the Blade 400 3D, it was recommended to upgrade it with T-rex 450 blades right away.

Thanks

Peter

Hi and thanks for your reply.

Could I ask you to explain why the main blades are not OK?

I do run shortened Align Pro woodies on my King XL (stretched tail boom), but you can't run them on a stock King. In short, they are too long (heh). The King uses 275mm blades. The shortest Trex blades you can buy are 315mm, so they would overlap the tail rotor and very likely clash with them during any negative pitch manuevers.

Also, the King blade grips are wider than the Trex, so you'd either need to use shims or put the Trex blade root bits on in place of the Align bits.
