Following in the footsteps of horticulturalists the world over, a new technique for flying your Hurricane EP 550 has been developed, just talk to it and you will be amazed with the results!! Let us know if it works!

After a crash I usually talk "AT IT"...rather than to it.....like "How could you have been so dumb....you knew what i wanted to do!!!

Gosh ! would you buy a used car from either of these two ???

Was too cold and rainy here....for any flying....took my ECO8 out in the front yard to track the new blades after a slight rebuild....and after lift off it nearly shook itself to pieces...broke the canopy hold down, both tail rods, never seen a heli shake so bad without any warning on spool up.....only found the main shaft ever so slightly bent...guess that would do it....

can't wait for this crummy weather to break....!!! Hear it was 90deg in Texas....argh !!!

There comes a time when we have to bite the bullet and retire our older helis, I retired my Eco 8 last year and felt really sad to see it go. Now I have the same dilemma, my little Zap 400 (First photo, on its last flight) which has seen several years of excellent service is heading off to 'pastures green' (Second photo, heading out to pasture) to make way for the new kid on the block (Rex SE).
Might be time to swallow that lump in your throat and park the Eco bro.
Mr Zap will retain its status as a museum piece in my office, for old times sakes.

JB...

Your probably right about parking the ECO...compared to the 550...it's like flying a marshmellow...

I live right by Hobby Lobby and once they get their ikarus stuff back it just seems like a waste not to fly it once in a while.

I have a new in the box CF 550 with all metal head just waiting to go into service...I just want to get used to the one I'm flying first.

I also have a Revo that Hobby Lobby USED to carry and even have a complete spare....but it seems so small and touchy compared to the 550....

Work is taking way too much of my time...I had retired for about 13 months and spent almost every day at the flying field...now I'm lucky to get an hour on a Sat afternoon....

i enjoy seeing you guys flying...so keep posting some pics every once in a while....it's good to see SOMEONE having fun...

Hey Mike

Why don't we ask bob how many crashes we have both had recently and see who will be borrowing blades!!

As a matter of fact the person taking those pics that day was a very good friend of mine who is a professional photographer!

Mind you he normally takes pictures and films underwater as he runs a specialist film company called Scuba Zoo. They do a lot of stuff for Nat Geo, Discovery and the BBC.

We have some very interesting friends here.

Cheers

Man you been in da sun too long.

There are no "little people" in my heli or least the last time I looked. Maybe I should look harder as you obviously see things I don't. ....oh to the funny farm ...haha .... hehe ....
