Is the throttle cut mode specifc? Can I have it active in normal and not the others?

I have it setup in all flight modes. Also does the throttle cut feature override throttle hold? It seems it does.

Here's the way I'm thinking about setting it up. Active in all modes and at all stick positions, well at least below 90 or so percent. If I am going to cream it into the ground maybe hitting throttle cut will help minimize the damage.

Any thoughts?

Why not just hit throttle hold? Throttle hold will take the throttle to idle, idle is going to be the same as engine off. Or just set the throttle hold to kill the engine.

I use the throttle cut function the same as CND Hld would be used. The difference being there is no safety feature when I disable it. If the idle up condition is active or the throttle stick is up, the motor will roar to life when I turn off the cut.
I don't use cut to kill the engine, I have the left slider as a throttle trim when in Throttle hold condition.

Jeff,

I'm with David. Hitting hold is usually enough. If it isn't then the throttle linkage is already busted and trying to kill it isn't going to have much of an effect.

If you really want to do this, why not just INH the CUT function and then use a PMIX to close the throttle when the switch is flipped if the throttle is below some set point? Should be possible with the 9Z.

I see your "points". I think I'll just use cut in normal mode to shut it off after flying.

Thanks,

Jeff
