After searching this forum for some in-flight graphs to compare my own to I came to the conclusion that it wasent as easy to find as I hade hoped.
Therefore I felt the need to start a thread and ask you to share your graphs.
It would be nice if you took the time to write a litle about your setup aswell.
I can start contributing;
Align 600L motor 14/61 gears
Stock GAUI ESC in non gov-mode
7S A123
GAUI 500mm CF-blades
Hovering around graph with a few powerclimouts:

i still need to read through my eagletree manual and figure out how to use that friggin thing lol. i connected it for one flight yesterday, then hooked it up to my computer. the only info i could manage to pull out was peak amps. once i get her figured out i'll post up for sure.

here are a couple...fist one is Gaui 50A esc hovering...
second is a graph of comparing the Gaui 50A to the Align 75A esc during actual flying...and I used all settings gaui 3 beeps, then 4 beeps, then Align 3 beeps, then 4 beeps.
set up is 14 t pinion, stock gears, Z20-980kv motor 2500, 3300 6s polyquest, 515 cf blades

Here is my daily morning flight! Some hovering, a few flips, a few loops (the higher current peaks), some fff.
Setup is:
Readyheli CF frame
Z30 1100, 14 tooth pinion, 42 tooth front gear, 19 tooth one way, 61 tooth main
500mm RCP carbon blades
Quark 65 ESC in governor mode
Hextronics 4100mAh 6S pack (not very good)

Here's an average chart for me. Fast circuits and general buzzing around.
Hurricane 550 XES Pro
Z20, 14T pinion, CC85, 500mm RCP blades, two KongPower 2200. I think I'm killing my batteries. I need to get some 3300 KongPowers.

BD... I am really surprised by the high amp readings....I fly the Z20 - 980 (is your the 980?) and avg 18-30 amps usually about 25amps for hard non 3d flying...
are you running your esc in gov mode? if so what are you using for TC? it seems by the rpm line that it has no where to go but down...increasing the amps greatly...
I'm just curious because that doesn't seem what the Z20 has been doing...your pack voltage dropped to 18 pretty quickly also....maybe they aren't up to the task.

Yup, it's the Z20-980 and I am running gov mode. Testing in fixed end points, I got my head speed just shy of 2000 at about 80 so I have a bit of headroom left over. My set of KongPowers only have a dozen flights but I've been flying it fairly hard lately and I think I'm killing them along with my other FlightPowers.
In looking at a lot of graphs I am starting to think fast circuits are harder on the batts than average 3D. With 3D, the loads are constantly on and off but when I fly fast figure eights, I maintain a good amount of pitch to keep my speed up and during fast turns, you can really hear it load up.
Here is a graph from my T-Rex on the same day running a Scorpion HK2221-8 V2. Unfortunately, this flight ended in tragedy. Full-on lawn dart from about 200 feet.

Congrats on the Maiden.....now the "butterflies" are gone you can have some fun with it.
get an external timer...I can't hear the DX7 either.....you do not want to suck so much out of your lipos...or else you will destroy them pretty quickly....
You should eb stopping at about 3360 for the 80/20 rule...

10min with an Z20 sounds okay... how much head speed to you have?

hi
Yeah, I know about the 80% rule, so I was pretty scared when I took a look at my eagletree!
The good thing: All cells are still well balanced. During charging, the balancer never had to compensate the cells. Lucky !
headspeed is 2100 at the beginning to 2000 at the end of the flight. Power is not veeeery good. How much power may I get out of the Z20?

What do you mean when you say not very good? what are you running for pitch.
The Z20 is no 3d barn burner but is ver capable of mild 3d, loops, rolls, good fast FF.
Now that I have had it for a while and are pushing it harder...i can see where the 3d guys like the Z30 better....but there is a cost for that power.....bigger lipos....
My Z20 will bog down with full max pitch, but runs steady in every other phase of flight.

hmmm, not very good means: (not very objective!)
compared to my t-rex 450 with scorpion motor, I am missing a bit the pop. Of course, the hurri is much bigger and gives me a complete different feeling of flying. Much smoother, more precise to handle.
Because I did not try any kind of tic-toc's or rainbows until now (really powerful movements), it is hard to make the difference between "not enough power" or "not enough cyclic, pitch" etc.
Maybe I can increase the agility with a longer flybar, more cyclic or different (lighter) paddles and I will be happy with that.
The other side (I know that from my T-rex 450), increasing head speed, helps for almost all kind of slow reactions. (and needs a lot of power, of course)
I cannot feel a bog at the moment with full max pitch, eagle tree shows me about 1 kW of power.
maybe I have to ask like this: Whats the max HS for the Z20? I'm using 515mm CF blades. pitch is about + - 11.5°, cyclic 7°
thx for helping.

That will depend on the pinion I have tried 15t and been a little over the 2000 mark...
the 14t give 2000 in the begginning then goes down to about 1900....
11.5 deg pitch is pretty high for the Z20...I'm running 10 and i can hear the strain on max climbs.
It sounds like you would much happier with the power of the Z30...and to tell you the truth...I can see where I will want on in the future as I get braver and try some harder manuevers. I just don't like $125 lipos..
Maybe the new Scorpion will be a little better

here's another flight graph.
my setup:
Z20-1470
5S2P 4200mAh Hyperion CL cells
Hobbywing Pentium 80 A, high timing ( bit more current than before with low timing)
Hobbywing UBEC
REVCO gears (maingear/auto gear) x (secondary/pinion) (61/19) x (68/18)+ = 12.12 ratio
Throttle curve 100-100-100-100-100
pitch + - 11.5
HS ~ 2100
flight time 7 Minutes 80% rule
FF, loops, rolls, stalls, max pitch climb out, etc
Now, I will try a 19 teeth pinion, to increase HS. But I'm worried about overloading the Z20.
Is 60-65 A pulse possible for the Z20? As mjdee14 mentioned, maybe the Z30 will be a better choice, we will see!
The next question is wheter to swap to 6S or not. I tried 5s at the moment, I got only 1 batterie. First, I want to be sure that 5s is the right choice, before I'm spending a lot of money for Lipo's.
Short version:
5S Z20 or
6S Z20 or
5S Z30 or
6S Z30 ?
Wazzer

Im sure you will find 6s much better that extra voltage means the amp draw will be less
Or for the same amp draw you will get higher rpm.
Try 6s before you swap out the Z20
but if you do swap out the Z20 you could chuck it in my direction!!

I agree with Wazzer about the amps...i didn't realize you were using the 1470KV...I must have missed that....
You are averaging 32 amps...I usually average about 25...with the 980kv..on 6s..
try the 6s first as mentioned.....but if you need more power then the Z30 is the way to go....just buy bigger lipos...

Hi Stephan,
While you're hanging with Wazzer and Jungle Bob down in Borneo, can I stay at your place in Lucerne? Lucerne is on the top of my list of places in the world to live.
