Hmm, Century is now a sub category.
C'mon you guys, buy more Swifts! (j/k)

Couple of easy questions IF there's anybody left....

Wondering if anyone has tried the 620's canopy on the 550-does it fit?
And second, I need to replace the main gear and ran across this: http://www.heli-world.com/detail.aspx?ID=9157

Has anyone run this gear? Sounds slippery. Any noticeable difference in efficiency? At the least you'd think it would be more quiet.

Kinda like this sub forum:YeaBaby:

Yea, it is quiet in here for us Century fans.

Seems that a lot of us are in RR and RCG.

Seems the Swift is a popular heli in the "electric heli" forum in RCG

http://www.rcgroups.com/electric-heli-talk-17/

and here on RR with 47,701 posts.

Hi, that new gear will fit no problem. (no difference in flight)
The new canopy will fit but you will have to remove the front canopy stand offs and move the rear stand offs back to the front screw location for the elevator servo plate assembly.
After the mod fits perfect!

Awesome, thanks guys!
You'd think with how versatile these things are there'd be a bigger following here...oh well, they don't know what they're missing!

I ordered the Swift 16 kit combo with a 4s 3700 pack. The combo price made the 4s pack only $93.49 and since I only currently have a 4 cell charger, I thought it was worth a shot to see if I'm gonna like these larger electric helis (I'm a nitro flyer). I haven't ordered a motor as I'm still mining the swift threads for setups and info that suit my sedate flying style and small battery.

Good deal on the pack!
You'll probably read that the 550 is best for a 4s setup, but I'd go with the 600. Works great on 4s and can handle the bigger packs if you decide you want more power later.

I agree 100% with warpspeed re: motor choice - for the few dollars more, the 600+ motor is far more versatile then the 550 motor, making it the much better buy.

The 600+ can be used with everything from 14.8V to 22.2V. Due to the high KV of the 550 motor and the practical lower limit of pinion (9T), it is limited basically to 14.8V (4cell) packs.
