Hi All,
Just purchasing my new Hurry and have a couple of questions. I'm pretty sure it doesn't come with a pinion gear, no biggy. But what pinion would you recommend with the 980kv motor? Flight times will probably be my biggest factor learning to hover and FF.
Do the kits still have the same issues with ball linkage rods being to short as in Finless's How-To vids?
The kit that I'm purchasing comes with the CNC head as well as the stock plastic head. Do I bother with the standard head seeing as i'll strip it down and rebuild it and loctite it, or just go with the CNC one from the get-go?
Also I see that on a certain online auction site that there's Raptor 30 carbon blades 550mm, are these a suitable but cheap alternative to the Gaui items?

Thanks for your time people, I can't wait to hear some opinions.

Pete

I got mine a few months ago still short rods but the raptor ball links on one end of the rod works great. I would recommend using the CNC swashplate guide, if not it will break elevator lever in a blade strike. A CNC elevator lever is nice too. I also felt more secured with the CNC flybar cage than the stock fly arms ( a bling with a purpose :)).

Gday Pete,

I purchased my hurri from global rc in WA early Feb and found the link problem has been sorted.
My kit had the cnc head also - use it if you've got it.
I don't know what level your at, I'm only a beginner and I am finding the Gaui 500mm woodies great. At $16 a set they are cheap and are very well balanced straight up.

If your interested check out the thread on Archeli about my experience with it. http://www.archeli.com.au/cobra/showthread.php?t=114656

Cheers,

Graeme

By the way, mine came with a 15 tooth pinion. I was considering a 14tooth but thought I would give the 15 tooth a try & It's working fine for me at the moment.
