View Full Version : Noob Flight Sim Question
Ok, I'm buying a Spektrum DX7 for my transmitter for a TRex 450 SE V2 I'm going to build. What do you people recommend as a good realistic flight sim for this setup? I have looked at Reflex XTR, Phoenix, and Realfight and to tell you the truth am a bit overwhelmed. I read some reviews that ranked them as 1 Reflex, 2 Phoenix, and 3 Realflight (but they were talking G3). So I need some opinions!!!! And if the concensus is for Realflight, which version, G3.5 or G4? I want to be able to use my DX7 to practice and would like a T-450 model that I can plug into the sim thats a close fit. Any help would be appreciated all, I dont want to waste time or money on a sim that wont help me learn.
Thanks,
Oz

I've used g3.5 with trex450 'plugin' and if feels good to me. I fly a blade400 for real.
I've tried g4 and the only real differences I noticed was bling like floats, newer radio box that doesn't work on g3.5 and only works on g4. I did notice that there is a lot more that you can tweak when you edit a heli.

I've been very happy with Phoenix, flying both 450 and 600 models (since those are the helis I have). The nice thing is that it's constantly being improved and all updates are free. I don't know about the cost of Reflex upgrades, but Real Flight will nickel-and-dime you to death.

Phoenix. Or Phoenix. :)
Ok, after doing a little more homework and viewing the propoganda from the manufacturers, I just ordered Phoenix!!!!!! I like that my controller doesnt require any "magic" to make it work, the updates are free, and they have a Trex 450 as one of the models. You convinced me!!!!:)
