How much OS SZH vibration is normal?

Hey all,

I have an OS SZH 90 and I'm having way too much vibrations for my liking. When I'm standing about half a metre away when idling I can clearly feel the ground shaking.

Is this normal? And if not, how can I fix this?

I balanced the cooling fin and clutch, but I didn't dial indicate it. I tried both the QuickUK cooling fin and the alu TT fin. I also tried 5% nitro and 30% nitro, no difference.

I don't get much vibration at all on a 91C-Spec. Doesn't sound right, but I'm a noobie myself.

I had great gobs of vibration from my SZ. I was addicted to the power but had to remove it and put one of my trusty YS's in. I worked extremely hard to make the SZ/Stratus smooth and eliminate the massive fuel foaming. In frustration, and as an effort to go back to a 'known position", I dropped a YS in. The difference was night and day.

Now the SZ is in a box.

I thought the SZ was supposed to be redesigned for lower vibration than the SX. :o

Its time to test out the spare Webra P5 Competition I have. Will report back once its tried.

I also added a shim making the total shims 0.5mm.

Any progress here? I've heard of folks having balance work done to their SZ. I really would like the power back but not at the expense of vibration.

There were some of the pilots at the Bham event that running OS 91 SZ's that had the crank balanced. The person that did the balancing was there also. Well I know he did some balancing on them in the past. Not sure what the current situation is.
