Can someone give me the low down on seting up the 502 gyro with a JR 8103 step by step?

I have a 10x with the 502, and I am not really sure how similar the two radios' gyro functions compare.
On the 10x,the gyro channel (aux2) when operating in the gyro function, will not allow the travel to be more than 100% either direction. The 502 expects teh travel to be 150% in either direction. Thus, when you use 100% gain, you only get about 70% gain at the gyro. I have tried mixes, and everything I can figure out, but you can't mix anything to or from the gyro setup channel.
BUT!!!!, you can over come this by setting the gyro's gain full up. It is the screen that starts with G: . if you do this you can get the gain at the gyro to go up to about 95%, and that is higher than I have been able to use.
