I recently tired to run my T-500 in gov mode.
It ran smoother with the gov mode than with the convetional throttle settings.
The only problem was I could not get the tail to stop twiching! I tired everything to bring the head speed up to 2800 rpm! Then, I lowered the head speed to 2000. That didn't help at all!
I read that others have had this problem, but I don't remember what was the true cause or what was the fix!
I wish some one can give me more info on this problem, and a resolution for it!

THanks for your time and keep them buzzing!

What Gyro are you running? You may need to check for any binding on the tail servo and slider. I would also try lowering the gain on your gyro. Also check your tail blade grips to see that there isn't any excess play. I had some screws back out on the tail grips on some of my other helis and the extra play caused twitching in the tail.

Sorry, forgot to post it with that info.

I tired it with a 401 gyro / 9650, and a HG-5000/HSG-5083MG.
When, I went back to convetional throttle settings it was smooth as ice over a pound!
The HG-5000 is a much better gyro than the 40, I love it! Cheapper than a 401 and as good as a 601!

I don't think the gyros is the reason why, just yet! But anything is possible!

Thanks,

It's not the gyro, it's the gov mode that causes the twitching. You can try to set the throttle response to medium, that will help, or even to low.
I went back to normal heli mode because of this.

For a good GOV you need a Kontronic ESC.
The align ESC's have never been up to the task.
