I've got the addiction. Unfortunately I'm a newbie, so if your looking for tips, I'm not sure how much help I can be. I was in the process of asking this same question when I saw your thread. If your looking for someone to fly with send me a pm. There has to be more of us out there Charlotte's the city of transplants.

Yeah, I'm from Maryland. It just so happens I work in the Huntersville Business Park. I've contemplated taking my heli to work to try and get some hovering in during lunch. I was wondering how much experience you guys have? I'd like to having someone take a look at my setup and make sure my heli's not going to fall out of the sky mid flight. I just wanted to throw that out there.

well, i have been dabbling in heli's little bit over a year now, i can fly fig 8's sometimes faster than others and starting to get into inverted stuff i can fly a loop and do flips, rolls, they are ugly but sometimes not.( i think its where my head is at at the time !!!) could use more work on my nose in, i can do it, but i feel it needs more work.thats pretty much where i am at, my time is somewhat limited due to my 3 year old boy, but i try to fly when i can.
if you want i can look at your heli, like i said, i am no pro but, i am confident i can see if its set up right, of course, all hail the FINLESS heli god videos. i use a dx7 tx so i could help ya there. I really don't know too much about any other radios but spektrum.
where are you at in learning? can you hover? is this you first heli? (i started on a fp)
Do you have a sim? if not i suggest it, unless you have unlimited funds or a credit account at readyheli !!
i almost forgot, what heli do you have?

I am in Charlotte too and we have a loose club here in the south end of town. There are several of us here and we are having a difficult time finding a place to fly. Currently, we have a school we rent the football field from and there are several fields quite a bit away from town. Everyone post where in Charlotte you are.

Another noob here. I have 2 heli's, two sims, lots of tools, a work space, An empty mall parking lot, and 2 credit cards. I was born to crash-rebuild-crash again :YeaBaby: I can't stop now, I have invested too much money. This city is lacking 2 things, A decent hobby store with real heli knowledge (and parts) and a way to learn from each other.
