Just an update on whats happening with the gas model.
Its really working very well. Overall its become the smoothest gas model I've ever worked with. When its settled in, the whole model is at least as smooth as my .91 has been.
Currently testing with a prototype muffler that makes it in fact sound about like a .91. Very nice sound for a G231. Its also able to haul itself around quite well.
I can't provide any pictures until it gets closer to kitting, but there are a few things about it that will separate it from everything else available.
For the moment I'm staying clear of the carburetor controversy until I have been able to run the available types in the actual model configuration.
Can't provide a weight yet, there is at least one change left that will affect that.
thats about it for now.

Its getting closer.
This model will have some surprises. It will include some features that you've not seen before on any gas model.

The model is very near it's completion. Don't know for sure of an absolute release date, but it should be drawing near for sure. Thanks to all for being patient, you will not be disappointed!!!
Carey may have a bit more information on the Miniature forum in HeliFreak as he is front and center in on the development!

things are still progressing, Tim is working on the instructions and drawings. Development is done on the model and it works quite well.
several of the parts are new and have lead times of several weeks. I suspect with the Jamboree coming in August, that the model may not be ready to ship by then buts its too early to say for sure.
There'll be some pictures on the company's website within the next month or so, and you can start to see what its about.
Thanks for your patience, there's a lot of work to be done to turn a working design into a production kit.

Thanks Carey.
Looking forward to this.
Any chance that a conversion would come out along with the full kit?
I know there a bunch of us that have Furys ready to convert and frankly the used market to sell them is terrible right now IMO.

I suspect their will be a conversion kit for the extreme and tempest line, but its probably not financially reasonable for the fury basic/expert.
The model will be available both with and without an engine though.

I would imagine so, but I have an Extreme just itching to smell like coleman fuel. :D
