So far I found 3 new flybarless systems that fit effortlessly on 450 size helis (definitely larger also)
Outstanding flight for a flybarless Trex 450 with SK360 Digital Flybar (http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t402647p2/). Pics for hardware are not available yet!! No release date available
URlVXWQ87Es (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URlVXWQ87Es)
The other two bear an extremely creative new concept (for me at least!) 3-axis gyro!! And it is 100% German. Idea is simple; ONLY 1 tiny gyro stabilizing both tail and swash plate. But how they managed that? Beats me!!
GyroBot (http://www.lf-technik.de/shop/shop_content.php/coID/0/product/NEWS)release March
AC-3X (http://www.eheli-tuning.de/vids/Shark_AC3X_1_title.wmv) (video)
Both units cost around U$ 700. Can’t wait to see these in action!

Bob,
Alvin has been discussing the system here:
http://helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=58579
Pricing was mentioned at approx. half of the V-Bar. Meaning around $300?
I'm definitely looking forward to this!

To keep this thread updated I’ll try always to post what I find about new systems, especially the ones with reasonable prices!!
The Probar system seems also to be a one unit flybarless system that should be affordable according to the developer Carlo (Eco8gator (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=698121)).
Some vids flown by Chris Harmon:

Yeh Bob, I’d like to try flybarless too if the price is right!! Even though I am not an experienced pilot (yet :o)

Hi Guys,
check this out:
http://www.file-upload.net/download-755053/Trex_280308.wmv.html
This pilot also proved that the System works on a Logo 600 and a Acrobat SE 470 sized Heli with the same setup.
The Ac3x is awesome. I've got one myself in my 90Size Electric Acrobat SHARK Heli. And this system is unbelievable easy to use. Without any modification it also worked in my T-Rex 450 (just modified the Servo Subtrim and Travel). Just install and go fly. I think this will be the future of flybarless Heli-Flying,
let's see what will be next...

The SK360 is now available at: http://www.skookumrobotics.com/
$329 + shipping.
It's always nice to read about new flybarless systems, but I'm going to wait it out for Finless to do a setup video first so I know I won't set it up wrong. :noteworthy

That's really great news and better price tag
The SK-360 setup still needs a separate tail gyro, to keep costs down!!
Let's hope the Probar is even cheaper than that when it's released
Thanks for sharing Gregwee

Systems like the VStabi (VBar) and the AC-3X control all three axis of your heli and therefore add revolution mixing for collective and cyclic pitch.
It looks like the SK-360 has no connector for an external gyro and therefore doesn't implement revolution mixing - in my opinion.
I don't know whether there exists any two axis control unit that is able to do so.

Here you can see pictures of the T-Rex flown in the Video:

On my T-Rex I didn't use such adaptors on the bladegrips and it also worked without any issues.
I just used some spacer and a longer screw to get the linkage ball towards the center of the head (see attached pic).
Hope this helps..

I just ordered one too. How would I turn off 120 mixiing in my dx7?
jaron (http://helifreak.com/member.php?u=19318): can you please explain revolution mixiing and why it is a good feature?

Revolution mixing mixes some rudder in whenever your cyclic or collective pitch changes.
Like that the the system supports the rudder gyro in that it now can act to torque changes instead of just react.
I'm no gyro expert and others here may have some other or better arguments but in practice the three axis system's rudder gyro is absolutely rock solid.
Most radios support this feature (revo mix) but you have to turn it off because it interferes with the gyro's heading hold mode.

My understanding is that revo mixing is for non HH gyro's. Good HH gyro's make revo not needed.
Just checked the specs ... it will take a 8v setup :)
Now we just need someone to make a 8v govenor ....
Go into the swash menu on the dx7 (hold buttons on power up) and set it to normal instead of 120
Martin :)
Hey Guys,
I've been following this thread with great interest. I'm about to put a V-bar in my T-500 and an AC-3X in my HOSS X4E (450 Rex). I like what you've done with your 450 Rex Stefan! Where did you get the blade grip extensions? Did you have them made?
I was able to pick up an after market blade grip extension for my t-500 and I'm just waiting for the mail to deliver my V-bar system. With the new price drop I couldn't say no.
I'm looking forward to joining the flybarless club!
