I've been looking for a large detachable wing foamy and can't find anything. I have too many trees in our neighborhood and can't fly around the house so I want a detachable wing so I can put it in the trunk and go to the park. Sure I can put it in the back seat but then my wife and kids can't go.

So any ideas? I have a few but want any input

1.) glue CF plate to wing roots a piece on either side of the horizontal part of the fuse and a few nylon screws and nuts
2.) wing tubes- (only practical if a built up wing- not a problem just a pain)
3.) same as wing tube but with flat CF
4.) a whole detachable wing that mounts with thin CF plate.

How large? What type of plane?

The Mountain Models Magpie is a foamie with the wing held on by rubber bands.

The GWS TA-4 has wings the are removeable.

Scorpio Mosquito has a detachable wing.

Those are ones I have that have that feature.

Park Zone has a number of detachable wing foamies. I have the Spitfire and the wing detaches fairly easy. Pretty sure most of the others are the same.

Multiplex Easystar, and Easyglider are 2. Multiplex may have more.

Multiplex have many that meet your requirements...Mini-Mag, Magiser & EasyStar are the most popular..

I have an EasyStar with an Arc 2500kv brushless, HS81 servos and I can use my 3s LiPos
from my heli (a big plus for me)...I just programmed a plank model for it on my X9303 and
fly the heck out of it!
