I currently have an Eflight gryro on my Trex, recomended by the LHS (because that is what they had on the shelf, I'm pretty sure) :bs Anyway I'm thinking of moving to the GY401, will I notice that much difference or should I stick with the Eflight until I have more experience under my belt?

Thanks

The 401 is kind of the DeFacto standard for the 450 (I know, I know, there are others that are working very will in this application) and will outperform your current gyro when mated with a good digital servo.

If your current gyro is working for you, don't bother with it. If you've advanced your flying to the point where the tail won't hold with the current setup, THEN upgrade. Or, if you just want better gear, go for it. :)

If you sick and tired of sub-trimming out the gyro's "creeping" each time you plug in... Get a 401 and those days will be over.

This is what I needed to know! Thanks guys I have one on the way. I'm hovering well and working on forward flight ect. But I am having tail issues.. you guessed it, seems to work fine then next flight I have drift or slight wag. I figure since I don't have another pilot to help or a close field I should get the best so I don't have to fight with inferior hardware

I've used a lot of different gyros. Starting with rate gyros, then working up to cheaper heading hold gyros, then I eventually moved to a 401.

The 401 is truly set it and forget it. Buy it and you wont... regret it?

Ouch, the rhyme wasn't intentional, however true it was.
