Ok after thinking about it for a few months ( and the fact that a LHS let me use a DX7 for a while to try it), I finally sold all my Futaba 72 mHz, and bought a DX7 and a X9303 2.4 (call me nuts if you want, I don't care:YeaBaby:).

My T-Rex 450 is now fully functionnal with my DX7, but I'd like to program the X9303 too. Is it just a matter of entering the same data inside the X9303 as the DX7?? I mean.. since they are essentially both JR radios, will the sub-trims, end points, throttle curves, gyro gain ( I'm using gear and not gyro mode in the DX7) etc... be the same in both radios? Or do I really have to start from scratch and do a complete setup with the X9303?

Thank you for any help you can provide!

The subtrim steps are different. The X9303 has more, smaller steps.

I did the DX7 to X9303 thing right before Christmas. Subtrim settings on the 9303 have 250 steps. DX7 has 125. Double the subtrim in the 9303 and it'll get fairly close. The rest of the settings are good enough to copy straight over and go fly. It won't be perfect, but it'll be flyable and get you to a good starting point for final tweaking.

Just be aware you can't use the GYRO SENS menu with your gyro gain in the gear channel. It only works in AUX2 so if you're using a 6 ch Rx, you've got to use the endpoint method to set gain. 7 or more channel Rx, and you can use AUX2 and the menu.

Thank you very much for the replies. I did transfer all the data ( I doubled the subtrim values), and I did a thorough check with my pitch guage etc.. to make sure everything was properly setup. Altough I haven't yet testfown with the 9303, everything seems to be fine. I did have to extrapolate the curves since they are 7 points vs 5 points.

Thank you!
