Do you disable your virus scanning software when using RealFlight? The G4 manual recommends doing so. Makes me kind of nervous though since I'm connected via a broadband cable. I've tried it both ways and it doesn't seem to effect the quality. However, when I disable my antivirus, I usually forget to enable it when I'm finished.

I never disable it. I use NOD32 and RF runs just fine with it enabled.

Most software will recommend disabling antivirus software on install. This is to ensure your antivirus doesn’t block the writing of files as they’re placed on your computer. Over the 16 years I’ve been using computers I’ve never disabled antivirus during an install and I’ve never had a problem. You’re pretty safe to keep things running.
The only time you might run into a problem is if the software you’re running is taxing your computer. Having other programs such as antivirus software running will add to the load and further decrease performance. In that case you might want to temporarily disable antivirus while using the sim.

Thanks for the replies. I'll keep it enabled.
