Hey fellas
To mount my canopy on the Fury Extreme, I use the screws on the front and the ball link (where you pop it on the canopy) in the back. I would like to upgrade to the screws in the back. Anyone know the part number of the metal stand off I need???
Thanks
Bobby

Front (http://www.ronlund.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=heli&Product_Code=414124)
Back (http://www.ronlund.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=heli&Product_Code=414123)
For each of these, two come in a package.
Obviously these aren't MA parts. But I'm hapily using them on my Fury Extreme. There's a bit of a technique required to getting the canopy on over the front standoffs, but once it's on, you know it's not likely to fall off. Of course, you could just use the back ones and keep the stock front standoffs. I like how these standoffs are made to fit right through the grommets. (You'll need bigger grommets for the back. I put even bigger grommets on the front to make it easier to fit the canopy on.)
You could also consider getting the cheaper plastic version (http://www.ronlund.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=heli&Product_Code=414284). This will require triming that indexing lip off of the long one.

I just removed the balls from the stand offs on the back that come standard with the extreme and screwed the canopy on using these. I liked the tempest canopy crews so just used those

Thank you both for the reply
Mark, I will take a look at them, but I would rather get the stock stand off's.
Glenn, I tried to just put screws through the canopy yesterday after removing the balls in the back, but when I screw them in all the way, it squeezes the canopy inward too much and the main gear hits the canopy.
Any other suggestions?

I mount mine this way except I made some spacers out of CF tube the same size as used in the front, use a piece of large fuel tubing slipped over the stand off and the spacer to adj canopy clearance.
Then ca another piece on a longer 3mm screw with washer for attachment.
I can take a pic if you like.

Here is the Tempest rear canopy standoff. It will work on the Fury Extreme.

Here is the thumbscrew knobs

If you don't use the above thumbscrews, you can cut a small piece of tubing to use inside the grommet for the screw to go thru.

One of the reasons I like the freya standoffs is because they are likely to break away in a crash. The stock standoffs are incredibly strong and (just maybe) might contribute to breaking the frames in a crash.
The worst part about the stock standoffs is trying to line everything up blindly AND fit a screw at the same time. With the freya standoffs putting the screws in is just plain easy because the standoff holds everything in place.
That and they are shiny aluminum and look freaking great.

Thank you all for the replies. Mark, you make a good point, but I think I am just gonna go with the stock standoffs.
Thanks again!

Ricko makes some custom standoffs that Ray sells Bobby. Check out my Tempest this weekend, I really like them.
