I got a MR-036-050-1600V2-5 (http://www.medusaproducts.com/motors/036-V2.htm#MR036050XXXX-5) comming from Medusa. We out the V1 version ov this motor into a 600 And it was very very strong Stronger then the 600XL. But it did need a CC ESC. Becuase with the Align ESC it didnt run to well. It didnt like it for some reason. I went for the CC80 my self. ONly a few more bucks then the cc60. I cant wait to see what this motor does on the 500.

How do you like the CC80's governor and slow start? Any failures?

The cc80 slow start and gov is great. no failure's we have two cc80 one on my 500 other in a 600, a cc45 in a 450, and a cc25 in a cp. and 2 cc10 in two walkera 52's and they all work flawlessly.

i have flown the medusa v1 50/1600 motor on 5s with 16t pinion. it is very slightly better than the stock align motor so the v2 medusa should be quite a bit better.
cheers
