well so i had my first couple of flights on my new FP 6s EvoLite 2500mah pack I got from Torkboy today. HOLY CRAP GUYS!!!:Bang with the throttle end points at 100% top and bottom, my HS is estimated around 2800 to 2900 rpm with a 13t pinion. I really like the difference in the flight characteristics between the x2 evo25 2170mah and the actual 6s evolite pack. The 6s is definitely faster and much more responsive!:banana I love the heli. BTW: I bumped my swash mixing up to 65% across the board for more response.
I highly recommend this pack to anyone who is flying the 500. You won't be disappointed. I know Finless and Torkboy can vouch... this for me. my heli is a new machine.:dance:woohoo

so do you believe that 1 6s pack is better than 2 3s packs connected?

The single 6s is a bit better than the 2x3s IMO. I have 1 2x3s and 2 6s packs. Te 6s packs sem to have a bit more pop and more energy than the 2x3s. At the same time the 2x3s 2500 has more than the 2x3s 2100/2200 packs I have tried.

haha oops its been a long day dude. went to bed at 2 last night, woke up at 715 to go fly with torkboy at the field where all the old plane dudes go on the marine base, and then went to work and stayed on my feet for 8 hours! haha long day..
so do you believe that 1 6s pack is better than 2 3s packs connected?
I do think it is better than x2 FP packs.... The 6s battery has a better discharge with tons more power it seems. I think it is also because it gets a better charge and it can discharge equally.... I love the pack and I plan on getting more. I would like to try the 25c 6s pack but I am now debating that one...

Let's keep in mind the 2 3s packs you are comparing are 2170, not 2500. Is your 6s Evolite 18 or 20C? (V1 or V2)
Single 6s packs only gain the advantage of having matched cells. Other than that there should be no difference.

keep in mind his 2170 packs may have more than a few cycles. This can make a huge difference.

Just what I was thinking. We've noticed that around here moreso with the 500 than the 450's etc, when the packs are new you can really tell a huge difference, even compared to packs with 20-30 flights on them.

well you guys pretty much have it spot on.. I do have around 30 cycles on my 2170s so i can definitely see what you guys are talking about... i guess we'll see how it changes after 30 cycles

If your trying to squeeze everything you can out of your bird for hard 3D then 25C packs are nice. For most of us the Evolites rock for sure! I can tell a difference between the two but it's very little. I'm now a Evolite convert. Longer flight time with comparable power.

I let Torkboy fly the pack on the second flight so he could put up a show for people... He absolutely rocked his heli HARDER than I have seen him before with the 500. Jason is one of the best pilots that I know.... it was awesome and he basically told me he wants a pack too! haha

Yea, this pack has some BIG BALLS!!!:YeaBaby::banana
I put the pack in, popped into a hover, and punched out....In about 5 seconds it was half way to arizona. The heli looked like it had been fired out of a cannon when I added the pitch, it was simply amazing. This pack had more power than my 25C 2500 FP pack, even at its 2 flight mark as well. I dont know if its the weight, or what, but this pack seems to be the ticket if you want crazy crazy power.
Note I was running 92% flat Castle Governor High, with an estimated headspeed of 3K, its is a beast and a half.
