Anyone know where I can get a longer tail boom & belt to stretch my Mini-Titan to use 350mm blades?

Yep.. bfcarbon.com..
But the belt needs to be longer too..
Happy flying.

I'm also thinking I will need to change the gearing of the tail.

That is a very wise decision lithiumstatic.. Have a look at the photo page 23:

I found a place that can make me a custom belt... so I got the belt and boom covered. How to I regear the tail? Maybe just remove 2 teeth from the gear that touches the main tail drive gear?

You may not need to get a belt custom made? https://sdp-si.com/eStore/ << go to Timing Belts, select MXL, 1/8", and the # of teeth you want. MXL-1/8-342 is T-Rex standard I believe. I don't have my e325 here to check if its the same. The belt is marked though.

I,m going to do this too! I ordered a couple of belts and a piece of c/f pipe. I love flying one of my mini's with the 350's but I have hit the tails once. I broke one of the little pitch links. Lucky for me it was the last battery and the last auto of the day. I see no reason to change the blade speed. The longer lever effect will help. The need for tailrotor pitch changes will be less dramatic for the same results. I have extended the boom length several times in the past. TimT

Well after a couple of tries I have come to like a belt # A6Z16-435012. this a mxl 435 belt by gates. It gives me good clearance and I can still put it in my Align case. I cut a boom from the 14mm carbon tube I got from bf carbon and cut the slots in it like the original aluminum boom. The machine now balances just in the center with my Kong Power batteries. TimT

do you have a link to "gates" ?
What length did you end up cutting the BFcarbon tube?
Thank you in advance.
Happy flying.

I have tested my new set up and it is sweet. The boom is extended by 25mm just like the blades. The link above works great for the belt. Their service is very good. I used them twice for a few different lengths. I like the 435 because it is longer by plenty but my MT still fits in the carry case. I tried the 440 and it will be ok but just a little longer for no reason. You can slide the boom quite a bit if you don't want to change yours. You need to move the tail back maybe 15mm. It just ends up with a too short boom inside the holder, I think. Min. length would be a 425 belt.
I've spent the time and money so you folks don't need to. The little machine seems to pop much better, sort of the same difference when I went from 315 to 325 on my old trex, but more. TimT

What kind of blades are you using? 350mm doesn't seem to be a common size. I'd sure like to do a stretch like this on my Dragonus.

I bet he is using Rototech 350mm. That's the only ones I've found.

I think you could very well be right LITHIUMSTATIC. Never tried these blades so I can't say anything about them..
I think Tim T was maybe referring to:

Is it too hard to imagine a tube less than 1 inch longer? The belt looks just the same as a short one. The tube is just plain black, no pretty fiber weave. I' ll try to post a side by side. The rotortech's look the same as 325's. Nothing dramatic. TimT
