Ouch... That sucks.... Thats why I always unplug at least 2 of the 3 or all of the motor wire's when I'm doing some setup or adjustment...

Man that's scary ... I usually would failsafe bind the receiver and test to make sure that I can safely turn off the receiver (in case I accidently do that) without the motor spool up.

I just started flying heli, that is scary to say the least. For 15+ years of fly giant scale and I never touch the prop. The heli blades are pretty scary as well if not more than 25 inch props I am fairly used to. There is nothing to hold on the heli if it spins up on its own I would probably just run instead of trying to grab any part of heli.
Yeah RUN! its better it crashes on its own than it biting you.
