Guys,

I have been using Telebee gyros on my helis very happily for the last year. As my flying improves I am now moving on to using Heading Hold where as I was using rate perfectly successfully previously.

However when I have my tail set up spot on in rate (tail holds still, stick centred, no trim added) 2 strange things though ...
1. I can have about 80% setting for the gyro in rate, only 60 in HH or I get wag - is this normal ?
2. Although I have no trim added for rate I need to add trim in HH to get the tail to hold stright - is this normal ?

Other than this the gyro's work well.

Thanks,
Mike.

Gain is what it needs to be.

The Telebee needs to be subtrimmed or trimmed to eliminate drift. See the Finless video in the HDX300 built thread.

Don't hear much about settings for rate gyros, but for HH, even those with "Temperature Compensation", you need to leave it powered up without flying for up to 5 minutes in the environment you will fly or you will get drift.

Then power down and back up again to reset the gyro and go fly.
