AR6100 won't enter bind mode

My AR6100 receiver won't enter bind mode.

The receiver works fine, when all is plugged in, and flys normally. However, when I insert the bind plug in the Batt socket and power up, the LED just flashes once briefly and then goes out until I turn on the DX7. Then it connects to the DX7 as if the bind plug was not present. Is this a fault that occurs with spektrum receivers? Is there a simple fix?

I have a feeling the rx is faulty. I bought it from the hong kong spektrum dealer....lets hope they are cooperative :(

Sounds like a bad Rx.

When you power up with the bind plug in the Batt port it should stay flashing until you power up the Tx with the Bind Button pushed. Then the flashing rates should change, then the LED goes out, then it comes back on solid. You are then bound.
