Anyone having an issue with clutches breaking? I have broke two in three days worth of flying.
The first one that broke, I made one flight on it before it broke. The second clutch lasted about five flights before breaking.
I am running a TT53 motor with a Carbsmart and a JK Hatori Pipe and I am running about 2100 RPM on head.
They are breaking in the same place, right where it flexes. The motor is aligned with the start shaft, and the clutch gap with the liner looks very good, not too large. I have replaced the clutch bell each time it broke, so that is not an issue.
I am also having a problem with the pinion and the bearing. It is just press fit, and I degreased it and green locktighted it in place like I have always done with my Raptors. Once I pulled the motor again today, it broke free and was loose again.
Since the clutches are bolted in place and indexed by the start shaft, I don't think this has any bearing on my clutch problems.
