Looks like a great 3D setup to me! I'd go with the Solid G gyro & Jazz 55-10-32 ESC but thats my taste.

Switch out the JR Gyro for the Spartan 760 and use the Futaba BL251 tail servo with it, you will not regret it. If you can afford the 4350mah 10S packs go for it, if not just be aware to watch your times on the smaller packs. Rest looks good, cheers. ;)

i'll look into the spartan 760, i work at a hobby store so i have access to alot of different equipment choices. i dont think i'll have a problem getting the bigger packs.

what kinda flight times should i expect with each battery doing hard 3D?

Well lets see...this is flybar so my best estimate assuming you fly hard 3D would be 4-4:20 tops with the 3700 and 4:50-5:05 safely with the 4350mah. I might be on the low aggressive side but that is likely close I would bet. The 5350mah Evolites would get you over 5mins every flight for aure, maybe even 5:30-5:50 ish...

The main reason i said im going with the 7003D was because i already have it. along with three 9452's which i'll put on first until i get the 8717's

does a flybarless head increase flight time or decrease?

Vbar increses flght time and power, less resistance as there is less mass etc..

its basic physics/aerodynamics, when thought about it does make sence.

how much does flight time increase? on a... lets say 10S 4350 25C

30-35 seconds

thats not bad thats a few moves and thena climbout for an auto, i might go flybarless right off the bat, esprit models has a nice combo

revised setup:

-logo 6003D
-NEU 1912H/1Y w/fan
-castle 85HV
-8717's
-FP 10S 5350 evolite
-V blades head and tail
-V-stabi

any other suggestion on an ESC in the price range of the Castle other than the JAZZ?

As long as you have ESD protection, the CC will work great. Set it to 41% Gov Gain with the 1912.

Hi,

what is meant to protect against ESD?

Spray 33 graphite or other?

Thanks.
