Questions about the balance charge plug

I just got an iMax B5 charger and batteries. I love the charger and batteries. They use a JST-HX balance plug and port. But I have a Thunder Power battery and the balance plug obviously doesn't fit. Is it as simple as going to radio shack and buying the JST-HX plug and rewiring the TP balance wires into the new plug? If it's not that simple could somebody tell me if the wires need to go in a certain sequence, etc etc etc.
