I realize this is a heli site, but thought you guys might be able to help me on this one as I only "speak" heli language, and not r/c boat talk. :)

I'm thinking of getting an r/c boat that has a Nemesis 8XL brushless motor, and I'm wondering if my lipo's I use on my Trex450 (standard 2100mAh 3s 20c) would work on this motor? I could always hook two in parallel if more power is needed.

Anyone know anything about these motors?

I dont know do much about boats but...do you have the docs for the ESC ? It should tell you the operating voltage. As long as your lipos are within that spec, your ok. You will also want to know how much your motor draws so you can try and figure out that mA rating you need. I think you might be best off experimenting with your T-Rex batts(as long as the voltage is correct.) Run a couple of min in the boat and see what you have left in the batt. Continue increasing the run time until you are at the 80% discharge rule. Then if you dont have enough run time increase the batt size.
