Something looks very wrong with where the wires exit the motor housing.

I just put heat shrink on the wires for extra protection, I just ran out of black and had to use a red one. So you are wrong.
I wasn't talking about the colour of the wire, if you wouldnt mind just taking a photo of the section of the wire as it exits the motor housing.
