It was several ounces more than just the extra 2 cells because of the 2100s they weigh more, and all the Y harnesses to hook the 4 separate packs up.
The 24 series wakes up at above 20,000 RPM. Don't mean to insinuate that they're sleeping now. Just want ya to know that there are some more watts hidden in there.
It's like a Hacker B50 15XL. They're real dogs even in a 50 at 22,000 RPM. Get them spinning near 40,000 and they're a whole new enchilada! Really HOT, in more ways than one unfortunately.
I'm going to go 12s eventually with the 32-3 too.

Too bad gearing is so restrictive on the Raptors... Stuck with the upper bearing block config....

I guess I should be happy that doesn't effect me. I can get anywhere between 4 and 24 to 1 on both of mine.
It's too bad the Zero G EP will be limited to the Box. Kind of cuts outrunners out of the equation doesn't it.

Yeah, I saw some prototype images last winter and made the recommendation of no-box... Guess that didn't go anywhere... It will not be on my xmas shopping list!
If I could find an easy way to move that upper bearing, I'd be set. I thought of a plate with a bearing insert that would sit below the UBB area annd bolt to the side frames (move independant of the lower motor mount for simplicty)... To go to 8T, it doesn't need to move much, like 1-2mm tops...

I'd put it up on top of the lower starter bearing block. More room. Just extend the shaft through if you need to.
A piece of 3.2mm stock with two slots and you screw or bolt it into the frame and adjust it as well.
I don't think there is enough clearance to fit bearing below the block is there.
You know why it only uses the box :dontknow

I have some idea as to why...

Whatever the reason it was a mistake.
Why eliminate some of your market by trying to push a "Whole Package" deal with a proprietary transmission that precludes using the AT LEAST as popular outrunners.
They obviously didn't listen to me either.
I'm glad I can build my own stuff and am not at their mercy :noteworthy

I think we've successfully hijacked this thread :) Sorry guys!
Al, if you have any idea on moving that bearing, drop me a line. Just looked at mine, doesn't seem like there is room to add a plate/flanged bearing. The only thing I can see to do is elongate the bearing block hole, and fack fill the front with something like epoxy to make sure it's pressed back...

I got 2.3 but when I just turned it on it tried to direct me to the new version.
I'll stick with 2.3 until the bugs are worked out buy you beta testers.
Besides I still haven't got a good ESC, 3 bad ones.
