Would the Align 35G ESC (AGNE35G) work in the Blade 400?
If so, would it be PNP or are changes needed?

should work fine may have to mode the plug and may eat up batt faster
with the higher amps but should be 80% pnp
i want the scorpion motor and esc
Will it really consume more power? I didn't think so. I thought, it would just make the esc run cooler because you would be using less than the stated capacity. Please someone help!

It wont eat up the battery any faster than before, unless you changed your motor and/or servos as well.
You can use ANY brushless ESC as long as it can handle the load.

The align ESC will also allow you to disable your soft start and adjust your motor timing

You will probably need to calibrate the throttle high and low positions on the radio for it, but thats about it.
I would definitely go for the scorpion 45A if you can get hold of it.
It comes with the programming card so you can customise how you like
