i received some spare parts, for "just in case" ....
and the Rudder Linkage pack has a guide included that was not originally on the heli.
was it just not there or is this some upgrade they include?

They didn't start including this "guide" until later and it probably still doesn't come in the ARTF kits.

No I did not have the guide on mine either, I guess it is an upgrade. The wire vibrates a little bit so the guide would prevent it from doing so.
Best to just do the carbon fiber rod for the rudder linkage......

Get rid of the metal tail linkage altogether and replace with CF rod. Lighter and doesn't flex or vibrate.

You really should replace that metal rod. It doesn't just vibrate a little, it vibrates pretty severely in my eye. I bet its enough to cause gyro issues in many cases.

surf, you should read the other threads in this section. many of us have been through what you are going through now, and worked out the bugs for you. i used 1/8 x .014 aluminum tubing. i glued the ball links in. many guys prefer carbon rods. local hobby shops should have one or the other. or online somewhere i'm sure

I did read about your alum rod, thank you. Sounded here like the carbon rod was ready made, not DIY. I can do that.
