A HH gyro will always try to hold the tail in one position unless it is given an command from the radio. With a HH gyro you MUST give rudder command to make a turn. A rate gyro will allow a heli to weathervane around a turn. HH gyros are great and definately worth the upgrade. They allow for easier sideways, backwards, and 3D flight.

For a 30 size heli the Futaba GY401 and matching servo are great.
