Gear ratio change

Guys,
I'm just hunting around to see if it is possible to fit a 14 tooth pinion gear as I'd like a taller ratio.
My stock 231 doesn't seem to be happy with the current 13t pinion and 90t main.
I have had gassers in the past with the 6.43:1 ratio that were pretty happy.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Yes, you can get the pinion from MA and then you will have to order a pair of slotted side plates or slot yours. A pair of slotted plates and the gears you wish to use is all that is required to change ratios on the Spectra-G.

By the way, your gearing in the stock configuration should be a 13T pinion and a 93 main gear. A change of only the pinion to 14T would give you 6.64:1.

I checked the manual for the number of teeth on the main gear. I'll count them next time..
Would you know the part number for the slotted plates?
