Got Spektrum Case, Got Burned

I ordered the spektrum Case from Horizon Hobbies and really like it. got it for $59.99 No problem there. Fed Ex shipped it and I received it in a timely fashion....Great. 3 months go by and I receive an invoice for $27.60 for brokerage fees. :clappp:thumbdown: that is the last time I order from Horizon Hobbies. Unless they ship USPS.

You would be charged brokerage fees by ups also. It's just part of the cost of getting it across the boarder.

Kitchener is a little ways from the boarder but you could always get it shipped to a post office in Niagra then carry it across.

you have little choice, however, if shipped fedex next day, they do not charge brokerage... only on ground shipments. .

ups....... they charge brokerage no matter what and varies as % of $, even if warranty replacement...... ARG! :Bang

USPS is the way to go. :thumbup:

UPS has a UPS store on Niagara Falls Blvd ( 5min from Lewiston) in Niagara Falls. They add 5.00 for handling and charge per diem after 3 days hold. Works great for larger or more expensive items. Easy to declare (quickly) at Lewiston.

Other alternative is to drop ship to friend and have them ship via USPS .:)
