Hi all, :)
This was very much a spur of the moment thing :) ... A while back I spotted a Gothic Tower on one side of a motorway/highway/A-road that I use frequently, and today I noticed that there was a road on the other side, not directly accessible from the motorway ... After pondering a little, I figured I could get an interesting mast shot of the tower from that road ...
If you look HERE (http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll=51.327072,-0.444914&spn=0.001991,0.005879&t=k&z=18), you should be able to see what I'm waffling about :D On the right of centre is the Tower, and on the left of centre is the road I planned on shooting from.
I had to extend the mast the full 50ft to clear the trees properly, but managed to get an interesting view on the tower:

This shot puts it in context with the road and the trees that I was behind:

The Tower belongs to Painshill Park (http://www.painshill.co.uk/), and I'm still trying to get in touch with them about letting me take some Heli shots of it from within the Park ....
Originally I wanted to shoot the Tower whilst it was bathed in sunlight, but by the time I got to that road the sun had pretty much set :( However, as it started getting dark quickly, I figured I'd try to get a shot of the traffic on the road .... came out rather well I thought! :)

Anyway, just thought I'd share :)
Cheers,
David :D
PS. I wouldn't have felt comfortable taking these shots with anything other than the mast due to the proximity to the road ... not to mention I was using shutter speeds as slow as 1/4s :)
