High all, well I need to order some servos and a spektrum Rx for my intended new foamy profiler.
So far I've come across some REALLY tiny 'Blue Arrow' servos weighing an increadilble 2.5g - but the catch is they only pull a sorry 150g cm. Is that enough to power a foamy's flight control surface with the wind on them?
The next size up - also by Blue Arrow, are some dinky 3.6g servos they pull double at 300g cm, still not a lot, but is that enough?
Sure I can get regular HS55 that weigh in at 8g, quite cheaply that will power the bird's flappy bits just fine, but I'd like to go as light as possible (plus I'm thinking forward to other potential future ultra tiny RC planes).
Same question for the Rx really. I'm on Spektrum, and they do a nifty 2g six channel Rx (AR6300) like a postage stamp! takes special JST connectors though which limits servo choice a bit!
OR, a 'conventional' AR6100 parkflyer Spektrum Rx at just 4g - light, but just not the lightest and I'm told that for foamy profiles or shockies, weight is very important a few grammes difference can transform a planes performance!
