Hi all, I am working on my first build and have a question that I can't find an answer to.
The tail boom has slots cut into it to assure that it sits correctly in the block, but the end of the boom that I am to attach the rear rotor has only a single hole.
How am I suppose to line up the tail rotor housing on the boom? Should I just eyeball it? It just seems that with such a precise machine, I would have to be sure it was dead on before I went for any final setup. Also, what is the hole for?
I read everything I could find but no one else seemed to have this question and I just want to be sure.
One thing I did notice was that some folks were having trouble feeding the belt through the boom. I thought I would share my solution to this problem. What I did was grab my fishing rod and feed the line through the boom with a leader attached. Then I just hooked the swivel to the belt and presto.
Anyway any help at all with the line up would be great. Thanks all.

I eyballed it. Then felt like you thinking there had to be a more precise way so I got a level out and put the vertical stabilizer fin flush with the vertical level. You don't need a level, just something squared.

Eyeball the tail case with the boom block to make it level. The hole in the end of the boom is for the plastic tail case, which has a post inside to align (no pun intended) with the hole.

I just eyeball it.

Compressed air will shoot the belt through the boom in about 3 nanoseconds. :)
