I just bought carbsmart and I have a ar7000 receiver. My aux 2 channel has multigov in it. My question is where is the best place to put a y-harness to hook up carbsmart? Oh my aux 2 channel is programmed for flight mode. Don't know if I can put y-harness on aux 2.

I do not think it matters. You can put it on any channel.

Some people pop the power contacts out of the CarbSmart connector and insert them into the gyro gain connector, which typically has only a signal wire in it. The signal line is not needed for the CarbSmart and I've heard that having it connected to a channel can cause problems.

I don't have a Carbsmart yet but plan on getting one and had the same question. Just trying to visualize what you just posted.

I'm assuming (w/o ever having seen a Carbsmart in person) that the unit has a servo type power lead with only the 2 power wires and no signal wire. So you just remove the 2 power leads from the Carbsmart connector, and then plug them into the Gyro Gain connector that's already in the receiver (which should have 2 empty holes because it's just a signal wire) ????????

Did I get that straight, or am I confusing things even more???

In fact the carbsmart power lead has 3 wires, but the signal one is not used. I removed the signal wire completely and did the same, plugged the red and black power leads into another connector with only a gin - in my case the Align governor on Aux2.

While we're discussing hook-ups, what about the mechanical hook-up? What length linkage is needed for an OS50 using the Align or ReadyHeli servo mounts?
