Here is my decision- After about 10 years I want to get back into flying heli's. I would prefer elecs, due to ease of operation, clean, fuel, etc. Years ago, I had a JR 60 size and a TSK Mystar 30, both nitro. I sold the JR, but kept the Mystar. I never progressed much past slow forward flight with either bird. I don't have a radio or gyro, but have standard size bb metal gear servos.

I pretty much will have to buy a radio and would prefer JR or Spektrum- cost is an issue, but will not make the decision. I tend to buy better now than have to upgrade later. Would it be worth me setting the TSK up and fly it until I crash the daylights out of it and attempt to retro what I can?- or should I just get a TREX 450, new radio, etc and save the TSK for much later? Honestly, I am looking at a TREX clone as I think I can get more bang for my buck. I am looking at the Hone 03. If anybody has any thoughts, they are more than welcome.

Thanks,
Brian

get a trex, and radio now. learn to fly it, and then get the nitro bird in the air. i believe it's a HDX that's a nice trex clone. considerably cheaper too as i understand, or get a 450X CDE off evil bay for $130. that's what i have, but still not finished yet. just needs the final setup. waiting on a swash leveler to show up.

Get a Trex-450 V2 I got one off Ebay for $385.00 shipped I was skeptical because of the price but it was the real deal. Included Battery, ESC, Motor and Carbon Blades.
