maybe I'm just missing something here or something isnt right.
I'm assembling the frame rails and I'm at thestep where you bolt the tail transmission in (the short shaft with the bevel gear on it). You are told to slide the shaft into theball bearing support and then bolt it in. The shaft appears to be about 1/2 inch too long because the holes arent even close to lining up.
Anyone else have this problem???? Kinda sucks...I had planned on building all day and now I'm stuck

here is a picture of what I am talking about. I loosend the wheel collar so I could bolt it in, but now the white plastic piece that holds the tail shaft sticks out too far.

Looks like you got the long shaft. I have seen this before.
You have two options, call MA and get them to swap you for the correct length tail drive shaft or cut off the extra length with a cutoff wheel (slowly as not to heat it too much) and dress up the cut.
Either will work fine.

well, I guess that would explain the fact that I am missing another part, and in another section I am told to screw a 30mm bolt with a large smooth part into a threaded clutch assembly (which would completely eat up the threads). Not too impressed with this kit so far

The old clutches the bolt used to go all the way through. The new one you just put a regular screw in there from each side, so 4 screws in total instead of two long ones and nuts on the other side. Use washers below the screws and locktite them and you will be fine.

Yeah I called miniature and they explained that part to me. And as for teh missing part.....THey are sending me a replacement, I went to the hobby store and bought it to have it right away, only to find out later in the kit that they upgraded the part and the upgrade was included. Nice to know
