Looks like Align may be putting out a reinforced Hitec 5245 servo case. Looks to be a brass ring in the top. Anyone else see this?

Nope, those cases are not for the HS5245MG. They are made my Hitec and for standard size servos

Kevin, did your mod with the washer on the inside of the HS 5245MG (around the weak point) work out to be successful?

It helped but on a hard crash, it still pull out the whole chunk of plastic. If it was a big plate that rest on the edge of the case, it would have work better.
