I was just looking and It seems that everyone is having problems putting the Trex parts on this heli (frame).I have a Trex 450xl ccpm .How much of a problem is it to put all my Trex parts on this frame??Should I just Keep my stock plastic xl or stripp it and put the parts on the HDX frame.

FlyingHigh (I see you are local to me) anyway you can put the T-Rex XL parts into the HDX frame ... the only thing you may need is a taller spacer (which should come with the new frame kit) for the main gear.

Hello, some parts between the Trex 450 SE V2 and HDX 450SE V3 are now common.
As of V3 of the HDX, both use the same main gear assemblies, gears, bearings, tail rotor idler gear, etc. The original V2 HDX gear was light blue and rather flimsy. The V3 HDX uses a dark blue, non-branded Align main gear assembly, exactly the same.
Mast, fly-bar, blades, paddles.
Most of the parts in the head are different. The main mast bearings are of different sizes (outside diameter and thickness) as well, the HDX has smaller bearings. However, the main shafts are both the same size at 5mm (bearing inside diameter). Being that the masts are the same, you can take the entire mast and head assembly out of your Trex and drop it right into the HDX. In my opinion, the Trex head is better as there is more room for swash plate throw. With the HDX head, the swashplate will make contact with rotating parts at certain angles of throw; this doesn't limit the HDX's ability to flip inside of itself. Furthermore, if you go with an Align head, evertime you crash your Local Hobby Store will have parts in stock, guaranteed.
The tail-rotor system is entirely different, at least from what I can tell. All the parts on my tail are still HDX as I can't seem to break anything back there even after a dozen crashes. I would keep the tail on the HDX, HDX. However, there is a new tail rotor drive shaft that relies upon a keyed pulley instead of the older V2 and V1 pulley which used grub screws to hold it in place (it slips under high load).
I think you are making the right decision with the HDX. From what I can tell, the frame just won't break and the tail rotor system won't break. If I could afford to make one change, I would buy the entire Align CNC head and drop it in tomorrow, tired of waiting for parts although HeliDirect ships USPS faster than most can get Second Day Air out the door.
My two cents.
