Here is a video taken by flycamone v2 on a Mini Titan, sorry in advance for the twitchy thumbs

VN9pNVjtjlU

The cam is small and light, and easy to mount with a tilting head... which was tilted a bit too high in the video - I could not feel the slight extra weight flying the MT. Video quality is awesome, original video is much better than after youtube video above, which got sized down and compressed more. I love flycamone2, except for a few things.......

The issues......This is actually my 3rd flycamone v2. The 1st one wouldn't record, the 2nd one would record, but would turn itself off after a few minutes, even with a full charge. Hobby lobby has great customer support policy, they've replaced them without charge. This 3rd one is working great, except once it started recording and can not stop, I lost that particular video clip since I had to power it down. So the cam is a bit finicky to say the least, but I sure love the quality of the video and the functionality.

Crabfu,
Nice video and flying. :YeaBaby: Question? Is there a way to turn off the mic beyond using a piece of tape or the MUTE button while watching the video. Can the software (If it has one inc) be edited to take this out? I am glad to see there is no vibration in the MT with the way you mounted it. Some other videos have had huge vibration issues. I would guess that due to your building of your steambots :noteworthy that your set up is spot on.

Weird how the body looks like it is flexing. The video quality looks great though.

Yeah the canopy is vibrating, and due to the capture frame rate of the camera, it looks like it's flexing slowly sometimes.

Thanks... yeah I am pretty anal about heli setup, guess it comes from my my hobbies in building steam robots, making sure that all mechanics are all working as smooth as possible :) With my flying skills, I need all the help that I can get, the last thing I need is to fight with a heli more than need be while in the air :)

Flycamone does not come with software, but you can use windows movie maker (free in windows), and you can mute the sound, and replace it with a music sound track, and edit videos with transitions and titles etc. I've already turned the sound way down, but guess I should mute it, gets annoying after 5 seconds of it lol.

I still have a love hate relationship with flycam.... when it works, the videos are awesome, very pleased with them! But this morning I flew 4 packs, and only 3 of the videos captured, one was lost because it wouldn't stop recording :(

About vibration and video. Yes my MT is very smooth flying, no issues. But flycam needs to be secure, I used zip ties and zipped it as tight as can be, so it doesn't move around without some force. I've also taped on a piece of foam on the tilting head. I've also tried to muffle the mic, but didn't help. I suspect a lot of the flycamone heli vids are vibrating all over the place because the tilting head was not secure and being vibrated.

Here is a video with the cam taped onto my hat... just goofing around with the gaui 200 around the yard to test :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE7ZN2Aq27Y

I dunno if I this would be useful for the MT, as the camera angle is pretty wide, and I am not comfy flying close to myself with a 400 size heli... 200, no problem :) Will probably try it with the MT next chance I get to putz around the field.

Pretty good stuff!!!

I just picked up a FlyCamOne2 used from a dude for 80 bucks, but after the problems you've noted, I may regret not buying it from Hobby Lobby for the return ability. We'll see!

I can't wait to make some of my own vids, but honestly, what I'm most impressed with is how axial the rolls are in your mini titan.

I roll, and the I have to give down elevator at end of the roll to get the nose down. No idea what's going on.

Could very well be lack of skill. I am just getting into 3d/aerobatics.

Lol it just happened to take that video on a good day, most of my rolls are pretty ugly, although you can't tell how bad they are in the onboard vid. As far as needing to point the nose down at the end of the roll... my mini titan does have a slight tendency to pitch up in fast forward flight, kinda just gotten used to it. My rolls are more successful when the setup is nice and fast and straight... and most importantly, that I am not adding elevator during the roll. Anyway, thanks for the kind words, but my rolls ain't nothing to write home about... I just feel lucky every time I don't cork screw my rolls into the ground lol :)

Have fun with your flycam, post vids when you get some!

Most definitely will.

I have a feeling my problem is just newbiness. Accidentally adding elevator, spazzing out on the collective, etc.

But I'll definitely post some vids :D I've got all kinds of birds I'm going to stick that thing on. I think the first vids will be with the CX2 in the "backyard" :P

Take care man :D
