Where do all of you guys put your extra wires, especially the on the GY401! I want to make a nice clean bird but I do not want to shorten any wires. So can you tell me where I can hide them? :)

There's really no place to "hide" them. I have used plastic mesh wire wrap to clean them up and also neatly wrapping the wires and using a zip tie to hold them together.
I have shortened the wires on a 401. Works good if you have the crimper and saves weight.
You can get it pretty clean if you route the wires inside the frame. Just make sure you have zip ties to keep them out of the motor and/or main gear and servos.
I went the shortening route and passed them over the the front servo into a upright receiver looks fine but I had to cut and solder. worth dong IMO

Hi, with a heli of this size you wont be able to get a
clean setup without shortening wires.

I cut my 401 wires and crimped on new connectors. Crimping on new connectors was easier than I thought it would be.
For my servo's I spiralled the wire by wrapping it around the shaft of my 3mm allen key.
Just finished my build. Pics to follow soon. Got some real work to get done first. :arggg:
