hey , Chris , what do you think about this mod here that I3DM did on RR ? he said it flys real good with real fast cyclic rates , so I might put my tempest FAI head on my Fury E like this

I guess without knowing what it was that the mod is supposed to fix, I can't really comment.

Well O.K. I can say something...

The FAI head is awefully good as it is. You can get pretty fast cyclics with it as is and it is very stabile and true. You might just want to try it and all of it's settings first before moving on to modifications.

hey , OK , but what he did was change the slanted link to the blade grip to a straight hook up , -5.5 D delta without the slant link , the only down fall I see is , that you might have a little slower cyclic rate and maybe alittle lower degrees of pitch on cyclic since the ball is farther out .

The slanted link doesn't cause any problems.

However the additional delta can have unintended effects.

Look around the forums, you'll find some columns about adding small and large amounts of correcting and non-correcting delta and its effects on the rotor heads behavior.

Some of the changes required using specially weighted blades to keep the model from vibrating violently in certain flight conditions.

thanks , I will try it stock then , the extention he added , will that change the delta?

Yes, delta is changed whenever the pitch change link on the blade grip is off center to the head block.
