View Full Version : edit aircraft parameters explained?

Is there a doc that explains the edit parameters in detail? The help file doesn't say anything about the individual parameters (and there are a ton of them... it would be nice to know exactly how some of those related to real world setup options).

I'm trying to bring down the overall travel of the swash. My heli is set to +/- 8 degrees of cyclic, but the Sim's swash move a lot more than mine does. What setting do I tweak to get the equivalent of max 8 degrees cyclic?

Thanks

Click on Simulation > Edit Aircraft then <Main> tab and adjust Minimum Pitch and Maximum Pitch to -8 and +8, respectively.

You can also play with the Front cyclic response and Lateral cyclic response numbers to try to match your roll rate.

Use the "cyclic tuning" slider to adjust cyclic pitch.

Thanks, but there is no correlation as to the actual angle of cyclic? As to what all the others do, is there is no faq or anything explaining what all the options do? It would be nice if Phoenix actually documented these user changeable options.

Thanks

Sorry, I should have answered this question the first time. There's not much documentation at all for most sims. It would take a rather large book to explain every function. I think they just expect you to know what you're doing or be baffled by all the fancy terms. Your best bet is to just play with the different settings and test fly to see what each of them do.
